Brussels!

The group went to Brussels this weekend. I was sick on the train ride there, so I did not get to go out the first night with everyone else.
Early in the morning we went on a city tour of Brussels. The tour guide was great, and showed us a lot of interesting places. I didnt know what to expect of Brussels but it was beautiful. The main square was very ornate, everything was covered in statues or gold gilded.
The most famous resident of Brussels in the Manneken Pis, its a fountain of a little boy peeing. The statue itself is quite small, and not that impressive. But through out the year the dress him and costumes, the city loves him. Every tourist shop is filled with different things of the Manneken Pis. We also visited the Jeaneken Pis, which is a modern addition but is basically a fountain of a little girl squatting to pee. She is not as popular, I didn’t see any versions of her for sale anywhere.
We also went on a tour of microbrewerly and got to taste the different beers they make there. Later on we went on a chocolate tour as well.
We ate traditional Belgian food for lunch, i don’t remember what it was though. However French fries aren’t really French they are Belgian. The street fries are great. Also the waffles they sell on the street are amazing. They are so delicious.
So we got to see pretty much everything Belgium is famous for beer, fries, waffles, chocolate and a boy peeing.
